Abies alba is a fir tree that grows in the cool, shaded altitudes of the Pyrenees. Majestic and slow-growing, it symbolizes silence, patience, and enduring, untouched nature.
Abies pinsapo, the southernmost fir in Europe, grows in protected enclaves between Andalusia and the Rif Mountains. A symbol of the Mediterranean, it embodies ancestral resilience and stands as a living witness to the natural history

Wild geraniums or grasses with seed heads
Sustainable gardening project with progressive development on a 1-hectare plot. Two mass planting proposals are presented, both low-maintenance: Pelargonium spp. and Pennisetum spp., selected based on criteria of resilience, cost-efficiency, and visual impact.

Design, execute, maintain
Garden design requires careful planning, appropriate plant selection, and intensive initial maintenance. Despite construction and budget constraints, it’s essential to integrate ecological and functional criteria to ensure living, sustainable, and viable green spaces.

Exuberant Gardens yes, no or almost
We must redefine garden aesthetics by embracing native, resilient, and low-water landscapes. The key lies in efficient design, adapted to the climate, with vegetation chosen for its resistance and environmental sustainability.

A different model of gardening by the year 2050
Climate warming demands resilient gardens with reduced irrigation. Excessive watering leads to shallow roots and dependent trees. We must dig and gradually reduce watering to encourage deep root systems and support vegetation with fewer resources.
